This is why aid and recovery money magically vanishes everytime there’s a disaster anywhere in the capitalst world: assholes pocket all the money, victims are forgotten and left to suffer.
Aside from Japan, recent examples include hurricane Katrina, the Gulf oil disaster, Iraq war, Haiti earthquake, etc. Those places are STILL in shambles. Humans are really good at killing and destroying; not so good at creating or building.
