Suspicious reaction of the hospitals for the children and pregnant women
This April, Saitama medical center will double the beds of neonatal intensive care unit to 60, and increase the beds of Growing Care Unit to 48. The hospital states it’s because pregnant women are aging, dangerous delivery is increasing. (*1) However, none of the radiation effect is acknowledged.
On the other hand, all of the 4 Full-time pediatricians left red cross hospital in Saitama last summer and autumn. The reason is not announced. Currently the hospital is not accepting high risk pregnancy and outpatient of pediatrics. [Link]
Also, Fukushima prefecture is facing a serious shortage of nurses and health workers because nurses have evacuated to save their children from the potential radiation risk because of Fukushima accident. At the same time, the number of patients are increasing as evacuation period is prolonged. [Link]
You can’t see what’s going on inside of the hospitals
According to MHLW, 2012 marked the largest decrease in Japanese population since 1947. (Birth – death) Japanese population shrank by 212,000 in 2012. (*2) Fukushima Diary confirmed the number of death is increasing (cf, [Jan~May.2012] Decrease of population is 4 times bigger than 2007 [Link]) and the number of births from April to September sharply decreased in 2012. [Link]
However, Japanese population has been shrinking since before 2006 due to the rapid aging society. Also, “the share of the cause of death” did not show any significant change since before 311. Therefore, it’s impossible to conclude the largest decrease of population is due to Fukushima accident.
However again, there are some “mysteries” about the demographic statistics published by J gov.
For example, the total miscellaneous accidental deaths of January and February of 2011 was 117% of 2010 according to the demographic statistics of MHLW though it was before 311. The increased number is more than 3 times much as from 2009 to 2010. [Link]
Also, MHLW excluded Fukushima disaster area from abortion statistics. They comment it’s due to 311, but other disaster areas such as Miyagi and Iwate are not excluded.. [Link]
We cannot know the change of cancer rate, still-birth rate and abortion rate from the official statistics.
Governmental policy is making it impossible to prove the link of a health problem and Fukushima accident
Mori Masako, the chief of Consumer Affairs Agency and the Agency of countermeasures to the falling birthrate of the government stated Japanese government is going to consider to legislate the promotion to make retailers sell Fukushima products for harmful rumor. By this law, the government can force retailers to sell Fukushima products. (*3) It’s not only food that the government is spreading around.
On 1/4/2013, Iwate prefectural government announced they will finish processing 90% of the disaster debris by the end of this year. Tsunami deposit and non-inflammables can’t be spread to incinerate all around in Japan but they will recycle it to the construction material of public investment. (*4)
Whatever the governmental intention is, they are spreading radioactive material to all around in Japan, which leads to homogenization of the contamination level. It can increase the cancer rate, still-birth rate, abortion rate and the deformation rate equally in Japan so it would be difficult to prove it’s linked to Fukushima accident.

Réactions douteuses des hôpitaux sur les enfants et les femmes enceintes
En avril dernier, le centre médical de Saitama va doubler ses lits dans son unité de soins intensifs de néo-natalité, les portant à 60, et en faire de même dans son unité de soins de croissance, pour les porter à 48. L’hôpital affirme que parce que l’âge des femmes enceintes augmente, le nombre d’accouchements problématiques augmente. (*1) Toutefois, aucun des effets de la radioactivité n’est reconnu.
D’un autre côté, les 4 seuls pédiatres à plein temps ont quitté l’hôpital de la Croix Rouge de Saitama durant l’été et l’automne dernier. La raison n’en est pas donnée. Actuellement, cet hôpital n’accepte pas les grossesses à haut risque, ni les consultations externes en pédiatrie. [Lien]
De plus, la préfecture de Fukushima fait face à une grave pénurie d’infirmières et de personnel de santé parce que les infirmières ont évacué pour mettre leurs enfants à l’abri du risque d’irradiation issu de l’accident de Fukushima. Dans le même temps, le nombre de patients augmente et la période d’évacuation est prolongée. [Lien]
On ne peut voir ce qui se passe dans les hôpitaux
Selon le MHLW (ministère de la Santé, du etc.) , 2012 a marqué la plus grande chute de la population japonaise depuis 1947. (naissances – décès) La population japonaise s’est rétrécie de 212 000 en 2012. (*2) Le Fukushima Diary a confirmé que le nombre de morts augmente (cf. [Jan~May.2012] La diminution de la population est 4 fois plus forte qu’en 2007 [Lien]) et le nombre de naissances entre avril et septembre derniers a grandement chuté sur 2012. [Lien]
Ceci étant, la population japonaise est en diminution depuis avant 2006 à cause du vieillissement rapide de la société. De plus, “la communication de la raison de la mort” n’a pas montré de changement particulier depuis avant le 11 mars. Donc, il est impossible de conclure que la plus grosse partie de la chute de la population est due à l’accident de Fukushima.
En outre, on a quelques “mystères” sur les statistiques démographiques publiées par le gouvernement nippon.
Par exemple, le total des morts accidentelles diverses de janvier et février 2011 était à 117 % de celui de 2010 selon les statistiques démographiques du MHLW bien que ce soit avant le 11-3. Ce chiffre est plus de 3 fois supérieur à ceux de 2009 et 2010. [Lien]
Ensuite, le MHLW a exclu la région de la catastrophe de Fukushima de ses statistiques d’avortements. Ils disent que c’est à cause du 11-3 mais d’autres régions touchées comme celle du Miyagi et d’Iwate n’en sont pas exclues… [Lien]
On ne peut pas connaître le changement des fréquences des cancers, morts-nés et avortés à partir des statistiques officielles.
La politique gouvernementale rend impossible de prouver tout lien entre les problèmes de santé et l’accident de Fukushima
M. Mori Masako, chef de l’Agence des Affaires de Consommateurs et de l’Agence des contre-mesures à la chute de la natalité du gouvernement a affirmé que le gouvernement japonais allait envisager de légiférer sur la publicité et promotion pour obliger les détaillants à vendre des produits de Fukushima au prétexte de la rumeur malveillante. Par cette loi, le gouvernement va pouvoir forcer les distributeurs à vendre les produits de Fukushima. (*3) Le gouvernement ne disperse pas que la nourriture.
Le 4 janvier 2013, les autorités d’Iwate ont annoncé qu’elles allaient arriver à traiter 90 % des débris de la catastrophe pour la fin de cette année. Les débris non-inflammables du tsunami ne peuvent être dispersés par incinération sur tout le Japon mais ils vont les “recycler” dans les matériaux de construction d’investissement public. (*4)
Quelle que soit l’intention du gouvernement, ils vont disperser des matières radioactives sur tout le Japon ce qui va homogénéiser le niveau de contamination. Ça va faire monter les fréquences des cancers, morts-nés, avortements et malformations sur tout le Japon de façon à ce qu’il soit difficile ensuite de prouver que ce soit lié à l’accident de Fukushima.

That’s an Orwellian arrangement if I’ve ever seen one. Her actions will cause quicker decrease in population, and only harm producers rather than consumers. The inmates are running the asylum!
I agree with your cautious but thoughtful analysis. However, I cannot understand the significance of their being high incidence of misc. accidental deaths shortly before 311, this would seem to undermine the radiation connection to early deaths. Also, Tony Boys who is a colleague of mine and is in contact with Dr. Chris Busby in the UK believes that it takes 2 – 5 years for cancers to show up from radiation. It is quite possible that radiation weakened the immune systems of older people as a contributing factor to early death, but hard to know for sure.
Another writer, Shimatsu Yoichi posited to me that about 6,000 early deaths may have been radiation connected.
This is a plausible number especially given people were not properly evacuated.
You are right to emphasize that the Japan government official policy is intentionally obscuring the facts, that’s what governments and bureaucratic systems do so well, shield the powerful from the truth and popular opinion. But if we keep digging away and picking the topic apart the truth will emerge.
