At around 9:40 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, a worker of Tepco’s cooperative company found white smoke coming out from the motor of the vacuum pump for vessel ventilation at the outdoor cesium absorption tower temporary
storage facility in the south of the central environment facility at Fukushima Plant. After turning off the power of the pump, the smoke stopped coming out.
平成24年10月２日（火）午前９時40分頃、福島原発集中環境施設南側の屋外セシウム吸着塔仮保管施設において、ベッセル換気用真空ポンプのモータから煙が発生していることを東電の協力企業作業員が発見しました。当該ポンプの電源を停止し、発煙が停止したことを確認したということです。

Une fumée blanche sort de la tour d’absorption du césium
Ce mardi 2 octobre 2012 vers 09:40, un ouvrier de la compagnie coopérative de Tepco a vu une fumée blanche sortant du moteur de la pompe à vide de ventilation de l’enceinte à l’extérieur de la tour provisoire d’absorption et de stockage du césium au sud du bâtiment principal de contrôle de l’environnement de la centrale de Fukushima. Après avoir coupé le courant de la pompe, la fumée s’est arrêtée d’en sortir.
