Tepco secretly increased the water amount to inject to reactor2.
Having the heating gauge indicate extreme temperature, Tepco and NISA has been suspecting the gauge was out of order.
On 2/18/2012, Tepco officially abandoned the gauge and decided to pick up another one, which is located at 135° far from the first one. It’s indicating about 30℃.
However, Tepco increased the water amount to inject on 2/15, and still haven’t decreased the water amount.
According to their plant parameter data, they were injecting 17.5 tones / h of water until 12:00 2/15, but the data of 6:00 2/16 tells they inject 17.6 tones /h, which was increased by 0.1 tone / h.
No explanation is given from Tepco and the data of 12:00 2/18 tells they are still injecting 17.6 tones /h.

Not quite sure why you say “secretly”? There have to be a million things that are decided without notifying the public. I am not defending TEPCO, just suggesting that perhaps “secret” simply means “un-announced”?

I have a question for you, Iori M. It has to do with the mysterious, radioactive black dust that is being found in Japan.

I agree, and here is my reasoning/explanation of the Black G☢☢
I believe that the reason for the high Cesium counts is the interaction of Earth Quakes (EQ’s) with the Corium(s) with the groundwater below the complex and that may even be cause of the Black Dust that is now being widely observed in Northern Japan.
EQ’s + H☢T Corium(s) + Ground water = (Hydro Corium) Fissioning
Fissioning + Time => Radioactive Steam Releases => Black Dust
Black Dust + the burning of radioactive Debris forms Black G☢☢
Makes it sound like they broke the other one on purpose just so they could get the story out of the media while they secretly deal with the actual problem.
Well spotted Fukushima-Diary. If they really believed the reactor temperature had not risen, they would drop back the rate of cooling water.
Not doing so is at the very least an admission that they think there is a chance the gauge is in fact correct. Can they really be so incompetent as to not have a clue whether their reactors are getting hotter or not? Surely there is something they can do to measure the temperature. After all they were able to drill a hole in the side of one containment vessel. Surely they could poke a few more temperature monitors through a new hole. ( Or perhaps through some pre-existing holes!)
In fact they claimed publicly that they were reducing water injection… so..
. SURPRISE!
They say one thing and do another.
I’m no expert, but is it possible that if the gauges get damaged, at some point, there IS no way to tell what’s really happening inside the reactor vessel? Certainly, one cannot replace the thermometers. Pouring in more water would give you some comfort, but not much better than that.
I know there’s been lots of chatter about the cores melting through the vessel and/or containment, but if that were the case in a big way, we wouldn’t be talking about temperature rises in the reactors?
Ok now let’s talk serious. I don’t know how much water is actually circulating inside the system an how the pumps and valves are controlled in the moment. As I learned from older vids on YT, lots of valves and so on are controlles manually. So 0.1t which is only 100kg (my weight as 1.85m man) is not much volume. And to be honest, I do not believe that it has any significant influence to the coolant situation of the reactor. Barley nothing, I think.
Just to make it clear: I am an german engineer, I am against nukes anyway and I don’t trust Tepco nor the japanese govt..

TEPCO is now in FULL CYA mode, look out Northern Japan!
I think future generations will look at what is happening in Japan as a perfect example of a Government using Science to condom its citizens to an unhealthy future in order to make money for those that control the Government!
TEPCO is now engaged in a Health War not only against the Japanese People but all those on Earth living downwind from Fukushima!
We are now are being ruled by those in Nuclear Denial*; instead of by Leaders that demand an end to the Trillion Dollar Eco-Disaster RISK that Nuclear poses to mankind! The nuclear industry is fighting tooth and nail to maintain it’s market share; yet NOW Solar (of all flavors) is far less costly to construct, faster to construct and carries with it N☢ Nuclear radioactive baggage that can kill a Countries economy and or those living nearby!

2. What is good for TEPCO is good for Japan.

4. The financial health of TEPCO is more important than the physical health,
… of the Japanese People and all their FUTURE children!
5. Only TEPCO knows what is best, all others must BOW to TEPCO’s Rule.
