Japanese convenient store LAWSON to sell Fukushima peach bread

After 11/27/2012, Lawson, a Japanese convenient store chain will start selling bread with Fukushima peach jam and whipped cream at 3,983 branches. (6 prefectures and Tokyo in Kanto area, 6 prefectures in North Japan,Yamanashi, Nagano and Niigata prefecture.)

This is a part of the activity called “Support by eating.”

The brand of peach is “Akatsuki”. The radiation level is not known but the taste is plain sweet they say.

Questo fa parte dell’attività chiamata “Supporto attraverso il cibo”.

La marca delle pesche si chiama “Akatsuki”. Il livello di radiazioni non è conosciuto ma il sapore dicono che sia normalmente dolce.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
