[Albino] Blue snow crab found in Tottori

 

Blue snow crab  (Chionoecetes opilio) was found in Tottori. Normal snow crab is dark red.
The body is 11cm wide, it’s 60cm wide including the legs. 550g weight.
The museum to keep the crab comments it has less carotenoid as coloring matter.
Mr. Maruyama from the museum comments he has seen hundreds of crabs but it’s really rare.

Un crabe des neiges (Chionoecetes opilio) a été trouvé à Tottori. Le crabe des neiges normal est rouge-noir.
Son corps fait 11 cm de large, soit 60 cm de large avec les pattes. Il pèse 550 g.
Le musée qui garde le crabe précise qu’il lui manque des pigments caroténoïdes.
M. Maruyama, du musée ajoute qu’il en a vu des centaines mais celui-ci est un cas vraiment rare.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
