In the article to say the birth number keeps increasing for 5 years in Tokyo, Yomiuri newspaper also reported that the most people died in 2011 in its history. The reason and any details are not explained.

死亡数、初の１０万人超
２０１０年中に都内で生まれた赤ちゃんは１０万８１３５人で５年連続で増加する一方、死亡数は戦後初めて１０万人を超えたことが、都が３０日発表した人口動態統計で分かった。
数年後には死亡数が出生数を上回るとみられ、都は２０２０年をピークに都内の人口が減少に転じると予測している。
出生数は前年より１５２２人増えた。中でも３５～３９歳の母親の出生数は１５年連続の増加。ただ、女性が生涯に産む子供の数を示す「合計特殊出生率」は、前年と同じ１・１２（全国平均１・３９）で、全国で最も低かった。２３区で最高は江戸川区の１・３７で、次いで足立区（１・３３）、葛飾区（１・２８）だった。最低は渋谷区の０・８５。市部では羽村市の１・５０が最も高く、最低は武蔵野市の０・９７だった。
死亡数は前年の９万８３０４人より５９３４人増えて１０万４２３８人となった。人口１０００人当たりの死亡数を表す死亡率は８・１（全国平均９・５）で前年を０・３ポイント上回った。
