Breaking news ; 610,000Bq/m3 of Sr-89 was measured in Tokyo, 3/18/2011

Though Japanese government have been denying the presence of Strontium and Plutonium around Tokyo,

US government (DOE and NNSA) had already measured air in Tokyo From March to April.

It shows that massive amount of Strontium has already fell on Tokyo.The max is 610,472Bq/m3 at Meguro.

Although,because this is in m3,it’s a little difficult to compare it with the contamination in Chernobyl ,which is mostly in m2 or km2.

They also knew neptunium 239 is out of the plant.

If you are right

this will be a enormous desaster….

it will mean that:

1. situation is several badly than situation could have been in kiev ….
2. japan got a huge genocide
3. not only tokio is confronted with
4. here the cut is now – world has to be informed – nuclear industry will be at the end now…

but maybe three melt outs have to explode first, till anyone realizes what had happened…

  it is more horrible then that. people would not only have to die in droves but also really get scarring burns or something before realising it might have anything to do with the 1 percents huge income from outdated nuclear plants with broken down safety gear.

    But if you read carefully, what is written here (after conversion of uCi to Bq) is that the total collected air had 0.610463 Bq. But the total collected air was 14896 cubic feet (also written there)! So you get 0.000041 Bq per cubic feet, which is about 0.0011 Bq/m3. This is still far more than what I would want, but it is not anything like what you are saying.

    The mistake arises from that you computed as if the last unit was uCi/mL. But it is not. It is uCi for the total collected volume.

That’s crazy!! Per the US EPA, we still have Sr left over from bomb testing. It is nasty stuff. But, now Japan is a long-term wasteland!! I’m so sorry!! 🙁

Thanks GB for righting this out. I already had it elsewhere but it’s good that people should know. Unfortunately this interesting blog is turning in something different.
