  1. The runners may want to consider wearing ‘space suits’.

NASA USA has LOTS of surplus Space Suits; since Vladimir Putin has embargoed USA astronauts from space.

    Suit Up!

    1. Ah, there’s something i haven’t yet seen in the news.
Russia says “NASA, nyet! Нет костюмы для вас!”

Houston!! Musk has no problem other than time.

Also, NASA recently announced their new suits.

Look at the cute caricature on the chest.
It has it’s arms up. I think he wants to surrender. :lol

Seems less of an International space station now. Hoping diplomacy works, because the alternate means are traumatically horrific.

Back on topic, though. What doesn’t kill you makes you stupider. Xenon gas (Iodine decay product) makes for an anesthetic, so if any great amount remains they may get a little groggy. Also, they may have deeper voices.

      1. The USA does NOT appear to need any old or new space suits; since we have been grounded by Vladimir Putin. The Olympic athletes may get some benefit.

Russia to ban US from using Space Station over Ukraine sanctions

In retaliation for imposing sanctions, Russia will also bar its rocket engines from launching US military satellites

Russia is to deny the US future use of the International Space Station beyond 2020 and will also bar its rocket engines from launching US military satellites as it hits back at American sanctions imposed over Ukraine crisis.

Russia’s deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin announced a series of punitive measures on Tuesday against the US in response to sanctions imposed after Russia annexed Crimea.

        1. Thanks for that Mr. Duff. Has US given up interest in ISS?
BTW, you don’t have to shorten your links like that. One space suffices before the first colon (except in sidebar, your honor). example: https ://startpage.com

          1. It does not MATTER if the USA has an interest in continuing the ISS. Barack Hussein Obama has lost the CAPABILITY to continue in space.

The citizenry of the USA is reeling from these global losses and this pivotal loss of the Ultimate High Ground of Space.

Some of the consequences, of this foolishness, weakness and turmoil are affecting the Security of Japan, South Korea, Europe, Eurasia, Israel and other portions of the globe.

            1. “pivotal loss of the Ultimate High Ground of Space”
That can’t be good for business. How long until the invasion?

              1. Various schedules

Crimea & Ukraine – attacks in the rear view mirror

South Korea & Israel – attacks – probably soon, even imminent

Japan, Taiwan, Singapore – attacks, mostly provocations for now.

        2. Quote: “Stunningly, the Obama administration put Dmitry Rogozin, the Russian deputy prime minister for space and defense, on a sanctions list. The Kremlin retaliated soon after. Rogozin announced that Russia would cease selling the RD-180 engine to the U.S. for military payloads. The RD-180 is used by United Launch Alliance (ULA), a Boeing and Lockheed Martin partnership, which in turn produces the workhorse of the U.S. launch fleet, the Atlas V.

Loss of the RD-180 is hard on immediate plans. Not only does NASA need the Atlas V to launch its major probes, such as the Mars rover Curiosity, but the Defense Department also uses the Atlas to launch communications satellites. There are only 16 such engines in U.S. possession, about two years’ worth at the present launch scheduling. Harwood told me that to replace the RD-180 will require a major appropriation, perhaps $1 billion, and five to six years of development. The lone alternative for now is the much more expensive ULA Delta 4 launcher.

Rogozin’s most threatening retaliation, in mid-May, was against the ISS. He commented without detail that Roscosmos was not looking to extend the contract with the U.S. after 2020. NASA had hopes of sharing the ISS until 2024, if not 2028. Without the ISS, NASA has no manned space program and no alternative until completion of the Space Launch System, now under construction and due to fly an unmanned test no sooner than late 2017. The best case right now is that the SLS can fly a manned mission in 2021.

“The U.S. side is more dependent on Russian hardware than the other way around,” Harwood observed.”

HOUSTON!!! We have a ficken problem if we can’t reprogram the Canadarm to at least give them “the bird”.

“Rockhound: You know we’re sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn’t it?”

          . http ://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120591/quotes

          1. The same Obama who refused anti-radiation medications to Japan …

And has lost to Russia, in: Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, and even control over the USA southern border, …

Has ALSO lost the Ultimate High Ground of Space …

The USA developed the Atlas Missile Rocket Engines AND the Space Shuttle, but no longer has the capability to manufacture them. The Russian CLONES are operational; but are now unavailable to the USA. The time frame does not allow for the USA to maintain a presence in space.

This is because Vladimir Putin is a clever man; and Barack Hussein Obama is a WEAK FOOL. The USA is in turmoil, reeling from the consequences of this foolishness, internally and internationally.

              1. The last several POTUS candidates from both political parties have been entirely unfit to bear rule. The present resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, is merely the worst of the worst.

                1. “The problem” is not limited to one man,
it is systemic. The whole damn roster of “players” need be sacked & sent packing.

It’s also not limited to the USA. Like “John Coffey” stated in the movie “The Green Mile”, “I see it everywhere Boss.” (paraphrased)

              2. Rednecks “out for a rip” –> https ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-glHAzXi_M
                :lol

  2. Team USA should send ‘Old People on oxygen’ to ‘Carry the Olympic Torch’.

Preferably High Flow Oxygen, in surplus space suits.

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
