Itochu corporation sent 110 new employees to Fukushima for training

Itochu corporation, a Japanese general merchants and traders sent 110 of new employees to Fukushima for its training though it has nothing to do with the skill related to merchants and traders.

They were sent to Fukushima from 4/16 to 4/21. The theme was to strengthen their soul by waking up at 3am and climbing up a mountain of 1700m height by camping in Fukushima.

Looks Like itochu wants to insure its employees don’t live long enough to collect retirement!

  2. Anonymous says:

New employees in Japan means recent college graduates. These are young adults, many of whom are still living at home with their parents.

The action by Itochu was completely unnecessary. If one of my kids was victimized in this way, there would be hell to pay.

  3. Ben Thomas says:

Is this more of, “lets all Die together” ?.

  4. Don Feeney says:

Fighting nuclear contamination through nationalism? To strengthen their souls? Responding to crisis through twisted patriotism is just same old same old in Japan. I worked for a Japanese company that went bankrupt, and in the last days the president sent us memos about relying on our spirit and our souls. Do the Itochu workers have to wear headbands and shout ‘Banzai!’ ?
