Whales are contaminated.
From the results of the inspection on radioactivity materials in fisheries products by Fisheries Agency, they constantly measure cesium from whales .

Humans have about 58 Bq/kg (based upon 4400 Bq per adult human and a 75 kg average weight) So it sounds like whales are in relatively good shape, assuming that their potassium levels are somewhat similar to ours. Any idea what their normal Bq/kg is?
If they measure the blubber (fat) they might get a much lower count of caesium. Would they cheat and use 100% blubber for the test? Caesium is taken up by muscle, almost nothing goes into fatty tissue. Please confirm that they are testing pure whale meat (muscle) without any fat or blubber.
If you follow the ’2′ link you’ll see that it’s undetectable in the majority so I imagine that’s what was normal before 3-11
