is it safe to drink tokyo tap water?
Only safe if smiling*
*sarcasm
Not safe at all; dont give it to children under any circumstance. When I lived in Niigata (which got and still gets less fallout) I used to cook and wash food with bottled water from outside Japan. You can find it at affordable prices at Costco, Yamaya, etc. It requires lots of work and adds up more to daily stress, but better do all you can for your healh and your family health.
The only way to reduce contamination of fruit and vegetables is to wash in food grade peroxide (wearing gloves), diluted. Another less effective way is to wash in baking soda. Just plain bottled water? Won’t do much for radiation.
Is it safe, I dont know
I think a better ? would be
do you believe these numbers
do you believe how low fuku is
do you believe tokyo is higher
It seems the govt says those numbers are safe
do you believe that
Based on those questions my advise would be
if you have the means to choose,
dont drink or eat food prepared with tap water.
Same advise to those in the states.
Most cities in the usa put a toxic waste in the tap water
Fluoride, lol. They say its good for your teeth
They put it in toothpaste, yet on the toothpaste tube a warning
if swallowed seek medical help.
Why, because the fluoride is very toxic,
and 0.0 is the only safe level of radiation.
No level of radiation is safe. If you can afford bottled water, use it. If you can’t afford it, try as soon as you are able, to move somewhere else, where the land and water are safer.
Bet the mafia is making a mint on bottled water!
This article quotes:
Fukushima : Cs-134 = 0,0020 Bq/kg ; Cs-137 = 0,0031 Bq/kg
Tokyo …… : Cs-134 = 0,0020 Bq/kg ; Cs-137 = 0,0033 Bq/kg
My question is, what is the officially recognized exposure limit of cesium 137 (Bq/kg)?
