For comparison, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare Food Standards: 100 Bq/g for standard items like beef, rice, and vegetables (down from 500 Bq/kg); 50 Bq/kg for milk products and baby food (down from 200 Bq/kg) and 10 Bq/kg for drinking water (down from 200 Bq/kg).
1 Bq = 0,0125 microsievert
1 microsievert = 80 Beq
Eating an amount of food with 80 Becquerel Caesium 137 is equivalent to approximately one millisievert.
Food radiation should not exceed 500 Becquerel/Kg.
Baby food should not exceed 400 becquerel/kg for cesium and 100 becquerel for iodine.(US Nuclear Regulatory Commission)
