Ryukyu Cement Co., Ltd. in Okinawa will accept radioactive debris for the material of cement, on the condition that Japanese government has agreement of Nago citizens, where they have a factory, and pay for enhancing the facility. They will accept the radioactive debris after 7~8 months of preparation.
Mr. Shimoji executive head of the people’s new party and the staff of Ministry of the Environment requested Ryukyu Cement Co., Ltd. in Okinawa to accept radioactive debris from Miyagi and Iwate for recycling. Ryukyu cement talks, 3 of the major cement companies are accepting the debris already and Japan cement association has requested too.
震災がれき「地域同意が条件」 琉球セメント受け入れ意向

琉球セメント（浦添市、西村聰社長）は１６日、東日本大震災で発生したがれきを工場がある名護市と地域住民の同意を条件に受け入れることを明らかにした。受け入れ量についてはセメントの需要などを見ながら決めたいとした。県内民間企業が受け入れの意向を表明するのは初めて。
琉球新報の取材に伊仲剛常務が答えた。伊仲常務は「大手セメント３社ががれきを受け入れており、（受け入れの）流れがある。セメント協会からも要請があり、地域の同意があれば受け入れる」と語った。
同社は受け入れの前提条件として、政府が屋部工場がある名護市安和の地域住民や名護市民の同意を取り付けることや、がれき処理に関わる設備整備について補助すること、廃棄物の塩分除去などを挙げた。受け入れが決まれば、設備整備など７～８カ月間の準備期間を経て、受け入れを開始するとした。
１６日、国民新党の下地幹郎幹事長や環境省職員らが同社を訪問し、西村社長に対し、宮城県と岩手県のがれきの受け入れを要請した。これに対し、西村社長は条件付きで受け入れることを明らかにした。
同社は県内企業から産業廃棄物などを受け入れ、燃料やセメントの原材料として活用し、リサイクルしている。名護市の一般廃棄物の焼却灰、沖縄電力の石炭灰、木くずなど年間１２万トンの廃棄物を受け入れている。

Cement companies bidding to recycle radioactive debris? Sounds very suspicious.
I guess that’s better than accepting a us military base. I mean, you can’t see radiation and nobody wants to protest around it. Dumb ass okinawa politicians. Better that what used to be a very healthy place to live , known for its longevity be turned into a glowing hotspot. Time to buy a Geiger counter I guess…..
