At today’s press conference of Tepco ,Tepco’s spokesman Matsumoto admitted sub-drain is almost connected to the sea.
This is when he answered to the question why the water level of sub-drain is stable though they don’t pump it up.
Matsumoto from Tepco answered ,when rain falls, the water level of sub-drain comes up ,but when the rain stops ,it gradually goes down, which means there are some holes in sub-drain. The contaminated rain water leaks into the ground and flows into the sea.
Now it’s revealed that nothing shields sea from nuclear contamination.
