In the press conference of 9/26/2013, Tepco commented they assume the seawater fence was cut off due to the high waves affected by the Typhoon.

It revealed the vulnerability of the Fukushima port facilities.

On 9/27/2013, Tepco reported the radiation levels (Cs-134/137, All β) are in the past measurement range, no radiation leakage is observed.

Le 27 septembre 2013, Tepco publie que les niveaux de radioactivité (Cs 134/137, β) sont dans la fourchette des relevés précédents, qu’aucune fuite radioactive n’est observée.

  2. We, discussing here, quite agree that TEPCO lies (see previous discussion). Please help me understand a matter of very simple question. Why TEPCO lies? Why TEPCO must not simply say the true?

    PS: My questions are naïve intentionally.

  3. 1) The truth is too terrible to admit.

    The USA could never admit the full impact of the Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombings. Meanwhile Japan could never admit the full impact of ‘Unit-731’.

    The USSR and IAEA could never admit the full impact of Chernobyl.

    The USA cannot admit the full impact of Three Mile Island.

    TEPCO, Japan & IAEA cannot admit the full impact of Fukushima.

    Reason Number 1, the TRUTH is simply too devastating to admit.

  4. 2) International Treaty Problems prevent candor

    It is a treaty violation to cause a nuclear explosion. Yet, it appears likely that there was an atomic explosion in the FDNPP Unit-3:

    International Treaties and agreements call for the use of MOX Fuel. Yet, it appears that MOX fuel substantially increased the damages due to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant explosions in Unit-3.

    If the MOX Fuel was a contributory CAUSE of an atomic explosion in FDU-3, then the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty CAUSED a nuclear blast; and the treaty is self-contradictory.

    Reason Number 2, Japan and TEPCO cannot admit International Treaty provision conflicts and International Law violations.

      The Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT), which entered into force in March 1970, seeks to inhibit the spread of nuclear weapons. Its 190 states-parties are classified in two categories: nuclear-weapon states (NWS)—consisting of the United States, Russia, China, France, and the United Kingdom—and non-nuclear-weapon states (NNWS).1 Under the treaty, the five NWS commit to pursue general and complete disarmament, while the NNWS agree to forgo developing or acquiring nuclear weapons.

      Under Articles I and II of the treaty, the NWS agree not to help NNWS develop or acquire nuclear weapons, and the NNWS permanently forswear the pursuit of such weapons.

      Article II

  5. 3) Commodity Speculation

    Spent Fuel is a LIABILITY that must be disposed of. Governmental (treaty-based) Madates to use MOX (recycled – plutonium), convert this financial liability into an ASSET. Keeping TONS of dangerous ‘spent fuel’ is a speculative commodity gambit.

    The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster indicates that the taxpayers, ratepayers, neighbors and environment bear a substantial portion of the RISKS; while the Spent Fuel OWNER retains ALL the potential profits. It is a corporate welfare scheme. TEPCO gambled Honshu Island, the Pacific Ocean as well as the Nippon Genome and Public health … and EVERYBODY lost.

  6. 4) Market Share and Market Capitalization:

    A LIABILITY has no value and the Nuclear Power Industry is not competitive with FOSSIL FUELS. Thus the plant assets of the nuclear power industry presently have no market value. This is particularly true in the USA which has a massive supply of coal, and due to new technology … natural gas, LPG and oil.

    The Nuclear Power Industry has relentlessly propagandized for any marginal competitive advantage; and has BRIBED, Threatend and/or destroyed every USA presidential candidate for more than 30 years. Carbon Tax, Carbon Credits, Global Warming, Renewable Energy, Peak Oil, Fracturing Hazards, Arctic Wildlife Refuge and other Publicity Stunts have been shamelessly hustled by the Nuclear Power Industry.

    The Nuclear Power Industry hoped to achieve a market valuation on the order of $2T for existing plants. And they hoped to ignite a ‘Nuclear Rennaissance to construct a large number of new units. The electrical power business is about $500B per year in the USA, and the 100 NPP are an insignificant part of that industry. So taking the world from about 400 nuclear power plants to several thousand was the goal. This might amount to on the order of a $50T ‘captive’ global industry.

I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
