Tepco reported they don’t know why nitrogen injection decreases the temperature of reactor1

According to the minutes of mid/long term Fukushima measures meeting held on 10/22/2012, Tepco is not sure about why nitrogen injection decreases the temperature of PCV in reactor1.
Fukushima Diary has been following this mysterious connection between their nitrogen injection and the temperature of PCV1.

In this April, Tepco answered this question in the press conference.
It was because the thermometer is located near the jet of nitrogen gas.
The jet makes the thermometer indicate it as if the temperature was going down like you feel cool in front of a fan or an air-conditioner.

However, Tepco made this statement to Cabinet Office and  Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

The ups and downs of the PCV1 temperature are related to the timing of nitrogen injection. There is a possibility that nitrogen injection has some connection with the indication of a thermometer, which is unique for reactor1. (Tepco)

Having asserted it is because of the location of nitrogen outlet, Tepco did not mention it in presence of Cabinet Office and MEXT and only suggested the possible connection of nitrogen injection and the temperature.

Selon les  minutes de la rencontre sur les  “Mesures à moyen et long terme à Fukushima” qui s’est tenue le 22 octobre 2012, Tepco ne sait pas pourquoi les injections d’azote font baisser la température de la PCV (Enceinte de Confinement Primaire) du réacteur 1.

Le Fukushima Diary a suivi cette mystérieuse connexion entre leurs injections d’azote et la température de la PCV1.

En avril dernier, Tepco a répondu à cette question au cours d’une conférence de presse.
C’était parce que le thermomètre est situé près du jet d’azote gazeux. Le jet fait baisser la température indiquée par le thermomètre de la même façon qu’on peut avoir froid devant un ventilateur ou une climatisation.

Toutefois, Tepco l’a affirmé au bureau du Cabinet (des ministres) et au ministère de l’Education, de la Culture, des Sports, de la Science et des Technologies (MEXT).

Les montées et descentes de la température de la PCV1 sont liées au minutage des injections d’azote. Il est possible que les injections d’azote aient un lien avec les indications d’un thermomètre, ce qui est spécifique au réacteur 1. (Tepco)

Ayant affirmé que c’est à cause de la prise d’azote, Tepco ne l’a pas mentionné en présence du bureau du Cabinet et du MEXT et a seulement suggéré un lien possible entre les injections d’azote et la température.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
