[Leakage] Density of beta nuclide increased by 17%, radiation detected from 2 more reservoirs

Following up this article..[710 GBq of beta nuclide] 120 m3 of highly contaminated water leaked to underground, 800m to the sea [URL]

According to Tepco, the density of beta nuclide from leaking water increased by 17%.

β : 5.9 ×10^9 Bq/m3 , Chloride concentration : 300 ppm

β : 6.9 ×10^9 Bq/m3, Chloride concentration : 500 ppm

It suggests that the contaminated water is leaking increasingly.

Also, 6.9 × 10^4 Bq/m3 of β was measured from the drain of reservoir No.1, and 1.1 × 10^5 Bq/m3 of β was measured from the drain of reservoir No.3. It may suggest that the contaminated water is leaking from those 2 reservoirs too, or the leaked water from No. 2 reached those reservoirs.

Selon Tepco, la concentration en bêta nucléides dans l’eau qui fuit a augmenté de 17 %.

Ceci suggère que l’eau contaminée fuit de plus en plus.

En outre, 690 000 Bq/m³ de β ont été relevés dans les évacuations du réservoir N°1, et 110 000 Bq/m³ de β dans celles du N°3. Ceci peut laisser penser que l’eau contaminée fuit aussi de ces deux réservoirs ou que l’eau du N°2 les a atteint.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
