[Strontium90] 490 Bq/Kg of Strontium-90 measured from the soil of Fukushima nuclear plant
According to Tepco, high level of Strontium-90 was measured from the dry soil of Fukushima nuclear plant. The highest reading was 490 Bq/Kg from 500m in North of reactor1&2 stacks.
[Sea contamination] 430,000 Bq/Kg measured from greenling and spotbelly rockfish, “4,300 times much as safety limit”
↑ Fat greenling (This is not the specific issued sample.) According to Tepco, 430,000 Bq/Kg of Cs-134/137 was measured from the fish in Fukushima nuclear plant port. It was measured
[Spreading leakage] Radiation detected from Southwest side of reservoir No.1 too
The leakage of highly contaminated water reservoir No.1 is spreading. From Tepco’s report published on 4/12/2013, 63,000 Bq/m3 of β nuclide was measured from leakage detector hole water (Southwest side)
Tepco “No major damage was found in torus room of reactor2”
From 4/11 to 4/12/2013, Tepco conducted the torus room investigation of reactor2. They reported no major damage was found in torus room. However, the water temperature was still higher than
Tepco “No radiation detected underground due to the leakage from reservoirs”
About the major leakage of highly contaminated water from the reservoirs, Tepco implemented boring investigation. Tepco has made 7 observation holes between the leaking reservoirs and the sea. Each hole
Sunflower already bloomed in Fukushima city
On 4/6/2013, FNN reported a sunflower bloomed in Fukushima city. It’s in Fukushima city police station. One of the two seeds sprouted inside of the station. The seeds were attached
