Photos and videos of Tepco’s SFP investigation in reactor3

When Tepco was removing debris from around the SFP of reactor3 on 2/6/2013, they dropped 1.5 tones of the fuel handling machine mast into the pool. [URL 1]

 

The investigated inside of the pool from 2/14 to 2/16 and 18, and released the photos and movies on 2/21/2013.

They concluded none of the fuel assemblies were damaged.

Alors que Tepco retirait les débris de la SFP3 (=Piscine à combustibles usagés du réacteur 3) le 6 février 2013, ils ont laissé tomber le bras de la machine de manipulation des combustibles (1,5 tonnes) dans la piscine. [Lien1]
Ils ont exploré l’intérieur de la piscine du 14 au 16 février 2013 et le 18, puis en ont publié des photos et vidéos, le 21.
Ils en ont conclu qu’aucun assemblage de combustible n’en a été endommagé :

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
