[Reactor4] Explosive shock was detected before the explosion

Following up this article..Reactor4 had one explosion and 2 fires in March 2011

Though Tepco states the explosion of reactor4 happened at 6:14 3/15/2011, explosive shock was detected at 6:12 3/15/2011 by 5 different seismometers according to the report of Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency. NISA even states there was no other explosive shock from 6:00 ~ 6:15.

From Tepco’s in-house investigation report, it was “approximately” 6:14, but because the shock was detected at 6:12:15, it is mysterious why Tepco addressed it to be at 6:14 instead of 6:12. It is not known what Tepco is based on to address the explosion time of reactor4 either. (cf. “Tepco decided to evacuate F1 to hear the sound of China syndrome 3.2011″ Secretary of Ex-JP PM)

When reactor1 and reactor3 exploded, these seismometers detected the shocks exactly at the moment of the explosions.

↓ From the data above, NISA states reactor4 exploded at 6:12. Additionally, they comment there was no explosive shock detected from 6:00 ~ 6:15 other than the one on 6:12. (Nothing at 6:14)

Article lié : Reactor4 had one explosion and 2 fires in March 2011

(cf. “Tepco decided to evacuate F1 to hear the sound of China syndrome 3.2011″ Secretary of Ex-JP PM)

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
