For some reason, it is impossible to buy foreign butter in Japan. The vast majority is from Hokkaido. Japanese cheese also usually comes from there. So this contamination is not just in beef, but a multitude of products ranging from cakes to ready meals.
What is also disturbing from this data, apart from Hokkaido’s distance, is the fact that Aoimori also has high Cesium readings.
Aomori is the origin of Japanese apples. And Japanese children love apples! Not just whole apples, but a lot of 100% fruit and vegetable juices have a mix of apple juice.
Zero Cesium is the only way.
