Ishinomaki elementary school in Miyagi had their students clean around the pool on 6/8/2012.

Ishinomaki elementary school is going to have swimming class this summer.

They had 4th grade students (9~10 years old) weed around the pool, 5th grade students (10~11 years old) weed around the pool side, 6th grade students (11~12 years old) clean the gutter. Inside of the pool was cleaned by school staff.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
