According to Tepco, they measured 400,000,000 Bq/m3 of all β nuclides (including Strontium-90) from the groundwater in the coastal area of reactor2.
Tepco has been building the impervious wall to surround this area, where is between reactor2 turbine building and the sea, in order to stop contaminated water leaking to the sea.
Because the groundwater started overflowing, Tepco is pumping up the groundwater and send it back to the turbine building.
This is the second highest reading in this area. The sampling boring was near reactor2 turbine building, where may be directly leaking the retained coolant water.

Selon Tepco, ils ont relevé 400 000 000 Bq/m³ de radioactivité β (dont du strontium 90) dans les eaux souterraines de la frange côtière du réacteur 2.
Tepco avait construit un autre mur étanche souterrain pour encercler cette zone entre le bâtiment de la turbine du réacteur 2 et la mer afin de bloquer l’écoulement des eaux extrêmement radioactives vers la mer.
Tepco pompe maintenant ces eaux souterraines pour les remettre dans le bâtiment du réacteur parce que ça a commencé à déborder.
C’est le second relevé record de la zone. L’échantillon provient d’un forage proche du bâtiment de la turbine par où doivent directement s’échapper les eaux de refroidissement.
