On 12/24/2012, the lawsuit of Fukushima group evacuation had a protest in fron of MEXT.
In the protest, the lawyer Yanagihara read a message from one of the evacuees to comment a lot of children are suffering from fatigue in Kohriyama city Fukushima, psychodiagnosis medical dept. is full.

“(Story of a friend of the mother who evacuated from Kohriyama city to west Japan)
Her son has been sick since last October, called in sick for 14 days. After November, he tries to go to school but is often late for the classes and has to take rests in a school infirmary. He suffers from severe fatigue. A near psychodiagnosis medical dept. rejected seeing him for being already full of reservation. They say there are a lot of children like him.

His sister also has a problem in her thyroid.

“5~6 of the daughter’s friends all have lumps in thyroids, which are smaller than 5mm. The thyroid test of the prefectural government evaluated them as “A2” but required no re-examination.
The daughter and her friends say ,”It’s alright because the hospital says it’s ok. We are all going to die anyway, and it’s meaningless even if I survive just by myself.”

The other day, the daughter said she doesn’t care even if she dies, and her father used violence.”

Strong fatigue sounds like Bura bura disease. Fukushima Diary feels like the government would try to conclude they are all from “stress”, “depression”, and “radio phobia” and try to make them look fine by prescribing psychotropic drug.

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
