Children’s exercise capacity of Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate significantly decreased since last year


According to MEXT ( Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), the exercise capacity of the children in Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate decreased since last year. It decreased worse in Fukushima and Iwate than Miyagi.
MEXT conducted the physical strength test for 420,000 of 10~11 y.o and 13~14 y.o students all around in Japan.
The national rank of 10~11 y.o male students in Fukushima dropped from 32 to 45. Female rank dropped from 19 to 30.

Fukushima prefecture assumes it’s because children can’t play outside due to the fear for radiation.

However, the weekly exercise time decreased only by 14 mins for male students, 10 mins for female students since before 311.

Selon le MEXT (Ministère de l’Education, de la Culture, des Sports, de la Science et des Technologies), l’endurance des enfants de Fukushima, Miyagi et Iwate a diminué depuis l’an dernier. La réduction la pire est dans Fukushima et Iwate, plus qu’en Miyagi.
Le MEXT a mené des tests d’effort physique sur 420 000 des 10~11 ans et 13~14 ans dans tout le Japon.
Le niveau national des garçons de 10~11 ans de Fukushima est passé de la 32e à la 45e place. Les filles, de la 19e à la 30e.

La préfecture de Fukushima affirme que c’est parce que les enfants ne vont pas jouer dehors par peur de la radioactivité.

Néanmoins, le temps consacré à l’exercice a seulement diminué de 14 minutes pour les garçons et de 10 minutes pour les filles depuis avant le 11-3.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
