On 2/28/2013, Fukushima Diary reported “Radioactivity density of reactor1 sub-drain jumping up for 2 days, PCV temperature also increasing”. [URL]
According to Tepco, the radiation level (Cs-134/137) of sub-drain in reactor1 is still in high level.
Additionally, it picked up in sub-drain of reactor2 as well, which is the highest level since 11/23/2012.
In the press conference of 2/28/2013, Fukushima chief Takahashi commented even since before 311, they usually pumped up ground water from sub-drain otherwise the water would flow into the building.
However, after 311 they cannot pump up the ground water and discharge because it contains radioactive material. On the other hand, contaminated water is also retained in the reactor building. In order not to let the retained water out, they let the ground water flow into the reactor buildings by using pressure difference.
However, now the radiation level of sub-drain water is increasing. If this trend continues, it suggests the possibility that the retained water may be already overflowing to outside of the building.

Le 28 février 2013, le Fukushima Diary rapportait que La radioactivité de la sous-canalisation du réacteur 1 grimpe depuis 2 jours, la température de la PCV grimpe aussi
Selon Tepco, le niveau de radioactivité (Cs 134/137) des canalisations du réacteur 1 est toujours à un niveau élevé.
De plus, il augmente aussi dans celles du réacteur 2, ce qui est un record depuis le 23 novembre 2012.
Au cours de la conférence de presse du 28 février 2013, le chef de Fukushima, M. Takahashi, a déclaré qu’ils pompaient habituellement l’eau du sol dans ces canalisations depuis avant même le 11-3, sinon elle aurait inondé le bâtiment.
Toutefois, après le 11-3, ils ne pouvaient plus pomper cette eau pour la déverser car elle contenait des éléments radioactifs. D’un autre côté, l’eau contaminée est aussi retenue dans le bâtiment du réacteur. Pour ne pas laisser sortir l’eau contaminée, ils laissent l’eau du sol inonder le réacteur par la différence de pression.
Toutefois, à présent le niveau de radioactivité de la canalisation augmente. Si cette tendance se confirme, ça laisse penser qu’il est possible que les eaux ainsi retenues pourraient déjà commencer à déborder à l’extérieur du bâtiment.
