[Column] Move

It takes only 15 mins for me to pack stuff, but it takes 10 hours to move.
I departed Bucharest 1PM and now it’s 23:24. One hour behind the schedule. The landscape was awesome but now the train is running through the storm. Sometimes the lightning makes inside of the trains look purple.
Everyone says Bucharest is dangerous or dirty but it was pretty nice to me. Every city has good points and bad points. Today I had a problem to carry my suitcase because too many cars parked on the narrow streets. However at the Metro station, a man in 20s helped me lift it on the stairway.
The apartment was like a small white cocoon. I could have stayed there as long as I wanted but I still could do so much more. I shall take my advantage of being able to go anywhere to research remote places for other Japanese people. Fukushima Diary must be growing up all the time.

This may sound strange but I tried not to be overly familiar to my circumstances so I wouldn’t miss it when I leave. However I gave some little presents for people around me like the restaurant I always went to – they removed mushrooms from my dish etc..On the snowy day, I had a detached retina test for both of my eyes to become nearly blind. I almost crawled to the restaurant and they dried my hat. There is no reason not to appreciate them.

Actually, what made them the happiest was the letter attached to the present. Word moves.
When the word reflects the truth, whether it’s inside of your mind or outside of your mind, as long as it’s the truth, it has a certain power.

I’ve left a lot of places and people. One day I might forget most of them. but if still something remains in my memory, probably that is what I am.

I was also saving coins for authentic homeless or orphans. There was about 20€ in the pot. I thought I saved more, am somewhat ashamed of myself. The pot was left with my translator. She’s 130% trustworthy. I will continue to save coins wherever I go.

Monthly donation is also very helpful !

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
