Albino swallow found in Gunma, 227 km from Fukushima

Birds are on the higher hierarchy in a food chan than insects. You can presume that they are facing the risk of radiation more than insects or plants.

Brown-White swallows were found in Annaka city Gunma. It’s about 227 km from Fukushima.

Commissioned instructor, Koizumi(60) from Gunma prefectural institute of Agriculture and Foresty found one flying with normal swallows on 8/12/2012.
It was about 17cm long, flying along Kujuku river. Similar white swallows are found near a gulf course too.
Gunma wild bird society of Japan comments it is presumed to be albino because of mutation.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
