LDP purges 2 anti-nuke members of NRA / to recommend 2 pro-nuke members for successors

LDP (The Liberal Democratic Party) is going to purge 2 of the main members in NRA (Nuclear Regulation Authority).


These members are the experts of earthquake prediction and nuclear national security. The power companies were complaining about their throughout regulation on restart of the nuclear plants.

Having their service term expires this September, LDP is going to recommend the professors from Tokyo University and Tohoku University instead. They are known to be the interested parties with of power companies.


Once they have the approval of the National Diet, these members will not be replaced for 5 years.

Le LDP (Liberal Democratic Party) va remplacer 2 des principaux membres de la NRA (Nuclear Regulation Authority).

Ces membres sont les experts en prévision des séismes et en sécurité nucléaire nationale. Les compagnies électriques se plaignaient de leur règlementation totale sur le redémarrage des centrales nucléaires.
Leur mandat expirant en septembre et pour les remplacer, le LDP va recommander des professeurs des universités de Tokyo et de Tohoku. Ils sont célèbres pour être financés par les entreprises d’électricité.

Ces membres ne seront plus remplacés pendant 5 ans après avoir été approuvés par la Diet Nationale.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
