JP Gov requested over double amount of account information from Twitter, Inc. in 2015 over last year

According to Twitter, Inc., the government of Japan requested 425 account information of users in the first half of 2015. This is 2.21 times much as the corresponding time of 2014.

The specified accounts were 529, which is 2.15 times much as the corresponding time of 2014 as well.

This is the second largest number following United States. Twitter, Inc. responded 42% of the requests from Japanese government, which is also 6% higher than the same term of 2014.

Twitter has been one of the most effective tools to share vital information since 311. Twitter, Inc. has not announced what specific information was requested by Japanese government.


Twitter, Inc. also received 8 removal requests from court and 8 from government agency, police and other to include 186 specific accounts. Twitter, Inc. responded to 9 of them and 220 tweets were removed. The contents of those tweets are not known.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
