According to Tepco, they found two more extremely radioactive pieces in Naraha-machi.

On 7/3/2013, Ministry of the Environment found radioactive pieces in the dry river bed of Naraha machi Fukushima.

In the further investigation, Tepco and Ministry of the Environment found two more substances in the same area on 7/6/2013.

One of them was taken to Fukushima nuclear plant for analysis during the day (A). The other one is planned to be taken to the plant for analysis on 7/8/2013 as well (B).

(A) is 2cm, 2cm, 0.1cm, (B) is 16cm, 2cm, 0.5cm. The surface dose is 250μSv/h on (A) and 105μSv/h on (B).

Though they stated Plutonium is too heavy to be blasted, they assume these pieces might be scattered by the accident. It is not announced why Ministry of the Environment doesn’t analyze the substances by themselves.

Selon Tepco, ils ont trouvé deux autres débris extrêmement radioactifs à Naraha-machi.

Le 3 juillet 2013, le ministère de l’Environnement a découvert des débris radioactifs dans le lit asséché d’une rivière de Naraha machi dans Fukushima. (cf. Un débris extrêmement radioactif découvert à 7 km de la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima : 3,4 mSv/h)

Au cours d’une recherche complémentaire le 6 juillet 2013, Tepco et le ministère de l’Environnement en ont découvert deux autres dans le même coin.
L’un a été amené le même jour à la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima pour analyse (A). Il est prévu d’y amener l’autre le 8 juillet 2013 pour analyse aussi (B).

(A) fait 2 x 2 x 0,1 cm, (B) fait 16 x 2 x 0,5 cm.
La dose de surface est de 250 μSv/h pour (A) et de 105 μSv/h pour (B).
Bien qu’ils affirment que le plutonium soit trop lourd pour être projeté, ils considèrent que ces morceaux ont pu être dispersés par l’accident.
Ils ne précisent pas pourquoi le ministère de l’Environnement n’analyse pas ces substances par lui-même.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
