[Column] Because Spring will come again

The second Spring out of Japan.
I was having the most peaceful afternoon in a park today.
Nobody’s going to pick me out.

A little boy came to the park with his mom. He was holding a little bucket.
The ordinary life of everyday people.

In Japan after 311, we were divided into two groups.
People who care and people who don’t care.

If I was in Japan and the boy was my son, I wouldn’t let him touch the ground.
Immediately after my saying that, people who don’t care would call me too nervous and I’m giving him too much stress etc..

They used to be a family. After 311, they can’t communicate without slashing each other.

Conflicts between the government and the people have been mentioned a lot.
However, no media have focused on this matter between carers and not-carers. It’s not even given a name.

It will be resolved when it’s too late. Either way, we won’t be back to be like before 311.

If we can’t go back, we should just move on. We are going to find another place to take our children with a bucket. This is how human evolved. If we abandon the attachment, Spring will come again.

Personne pour me reconnaître.

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
