According to their HP, from this January to July, Setagaya ward in Tokyo received 65 requests for decontamination at least.
Setagaya ward is the biggest ward in Tokyo and Japan, the population is 885,149 on 7/1/2012.
They are to receive the requests when people measure over 0.23 μSv/h.
However, they turn down 38% of the requests because “the local government measured lower radiation level for their follow-up test”.
Even when they decontaminate the hotspots, they can decrease the radiation level by only 65% at average. (0.40 μSv/h → 0.14 μSv/h)
The natural back ground is 0.04 μSv/h. It’s still 3.5 times higher than natural back ground even after the decontamination.
