160 volcanic earthquakes observed in the mountain 80km from Fukushima plant

Following up this article.. Japan Meteorological Agency raised volcanic alert level 80km from Fukushima plant / “Don’t approach the crater” [URL]

On 12/12/2014, Sendai district meteorological observatory announced they counted 160 volcanic earthquakes from 12/1/2014 to 13:00 of 12/12/2014.

This is over the monthly volcanic earthquakes of November (130 times) . It was 91 times this October. Volcanic earthquakes are rapidly increasing in Azumayama mountain located 80km from Fukushima plant.

Also it’s increasing on the daily basis as follows.

(Date : Times of volcanic earthquake)

12/1 : 3

12/2 : 7

12/3 : 3

12/4 : 3

12/5 : 0

12/6 : 6

12/7 : 18

12/8 : 3

12/9 : 19

12/10 : 37

12/11 : 24

12/12 (~13:00) : 37

Additionally, the clinometer located 1km ESE from crater detected the rapid gradient fluctuation toward the crater with volcanic tremor. The similar gradient fluctuation was observed in 2013 as well, but it was 3 times larger than that time.

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
