Still 102,900 Bq/Kg of Cs-134/137 measured from Matsutake mushroom in Minamisoma city

According to Minamisoma city government, still extremely high level of Cs-134/137 is detected from agricultural products.

From their latest report of September, 102,900 Bq/Kg of Cs-134/137 was measured from Matsutake mushroom. The city government reports it was collected for self-consumption, but the ratio of Cs-134 and Cs-137 was not announced.

 

Also 28,240 Bq/Kg and 17,058 Bq/Kg were measured from other Matsutake mushroom samples.

2,094 ~ 14,140 Bq/Kg of Cs-134/137 were detected from “Inohana” mushroom as well.

Still high level of radioactive material is accumulated in mushroom in Minamisoma city.

Selon la municipalité de Minamisoma, on a toujours une radioactivité en césium 134/137 extrêmement élevée dans les produit agricoles.

Dans leur dernier rapport, celui de septembre, ils ont relevé 102 900 Bq/kg de Cs-134/137 dans des champignons Matsutake. La municipalité rapporte qu’ils avaient été ramassé pour consommation personnelle. La proportion Cs 134 / Cs 137 n’est pas communiquée.

Ils ont également relevé 28 240 Bq/kg et 17 058 Bq/kg dans d’autres échantillons de champignons Matsutake et entre 2 094 et 14 140 Bq/kg de Cs 134/137 dans des champignons “Inohana”.

La radioactivité accumulée dans les champignons de la commune de Minamisoma est toujours très élevée.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
