“Nothing has improved about contaminated water problem”, NRA chairman

The situation has not been improved about the contaminated water problem, the chairman of NRA (Nuclear Regulation Authority) Tanaka commented in the regular press conference of 12/11/2013.

Tepco officially admitted the increasing contaminated water is leaking to the sea this summer. They have been trying to build the underground wall and also the pumps etc..

However, the contaminated water is still cluelessly increasing.

Tanaka said, none of the countermeasures took effect sufficiently. The situation is not settled yet. Even the multiple nuclide removing system ALPS (Advanced Liquid Processing System) can’t remove the radioactive material as planned.

We can’t still see the end of contaminated water problem in Fukushima nuclear plant.

I reject the international mass media to read this site without taking a contact with me.I know some of the mass media corporations read Fukushima Diary to understand the trend so they know when to report about Fukushima as if they were independently following it for a long time.
In short, they make you individual readers pay for this site while they pay nothing, and when they publish the “authorized news”, you pay for the “secondhand news”, which is nothing new for us.
This site is free for the individual readers, but not for corporations.In the world, this site is nearly the only source about Fukushima. I came here alone without any supporting organizations, background or anything. I’m not pleased to be exploited by the corporations that didn’t even properly report about Fukushima when 311 took place.

I demand them to take a contact with me BEFORE reading this site whatever the purpose is.

M. Tanaka, le président de la NRA (Nuclear Regulation Authority), a déclaré au cours de la conférence de presse régulière du 11 décembre 2013 que pour les eaux extrêmement radioactives la situation n’a pas évolué.

Tepco a officiellement reconnu cet été que les eaux extrêmement radioactives en perpétuelle augmentation s’écoulent en mer. Ils ont essayé de construire un mur souterrain et aussi de la pomper, etc.
Néanmoins, les eaux extrêmement radioactives continuent d’augmenter en volume et sans aucun contrôle.
M. Tanaka a déclaré qu’aucune des contre-mesures appliquées n’a eu un effet assez efficace. La situation n’est même pas stabilisée. Même le système de filtration multi-nucléides ALPS (Advanced Liquid Processing System) ne peut pas en retirer les éléments radioactifs comme prévu.

On ne voit toujours pas le bout du problème des eaux extrêmement radioactives dans la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima.

J’interdis à la grande presse internationale de lire et d’utiliser ce site sans préalablement prendre contact avec moi. Je sais que certaines grandes sociétés de presse lisent le Fukushima Diary pour comprendre la tendance et trouver quand rendre compte de la situation de Fukushima comme s’ils la suivaient indépendamment depuis longtemps.
En résumé, ils vous font payer à vous, simples lecteurs, ce qu’ils prennent gratuitement dans ce site et lorsqu’ils publient des “nouvelles de première main” vous payez pour des “nouvelles resucées”, qui n’ont rien de nouveau pour nous.
Ce site est gratuit pour les lecteurs individuels, pas pour les sociétés. Ce site est pratiquement la seule source au monde sur Fukushima. Je viens ici seul sans aucun soutien d’organisation quelconque, ni références, ni rien. Je n’apprécie pas de me faire exploiter par ces sociétés qui n’ont même pas été foutues de relater correctement ce qui se passait à Fukushima quand a eu lieu le mois de mars 2011.

Je leur demande de prendre contact avec moi AVANT de lire ce site dans quelque but que ce soit.

  1. Are Japanese people evacuating the island? Where are the reports of increased health problems? Cancer rates? This is affecting the entire globe. Thank you for sharing what you know. I will donate soon. Peace.

    1. ‘Left Behind’

      The Honshu Island Population was approximately 103 Millioni in the 2005 Japan census, if memory serves. There was a 2010 census, which does not appear to be easily available, at present.

      The Honshu Island population is probably decreasing at an increasing rate, due to, among other things, the radiation fallout and related public health concerns. There are a lot of corporate headquarter relocations underway, to other Japan Islands and so forth. Also, lots of personnel transferring to international assignments and few wanting to return.

      Let us posit that the Honshu Island population is now substantially LESS than 100 Million. Maybe we could guess ~90 million and dropping. And the mean, mode, median, (average) ages are (likely) all increasing. And Japan does not wish to discuss the matter. Presumably to prevent anger, panic and reprisals from those unfortunate souls who have been ‘Left Behind’ in the initial corporate exodus.

  2. ALPS-2 And ALPS-3

    How goes construction of the ALPS-2 and ALPS-3 water filtration systems? Certainly a redundant water purification scheme should have been constructed ‘from the get go’. Hopefully at least one of the ALPS systems is mechanical rather than AC electro-mechanical. That would offer some protection against previously observed solar flare/spot/storm interference with the often unreliable AC electrical grid.

    TEPCO ‘cheapy johned’ the operation, until their bankruptcy. Japan Inc. is slowly increasing the expenditures, arguably TOO SLOWLY.

    Five Trillion Dollars ($5T) is a LOT of money! And $5T is the Order of Magnitude of the required funds, to ‘fix what can be fixed’ of the Fukushima Daiichi ongoing nuclear holocaust.

  3. Triple Disaster – Triple Bow.

    This is of my great concern to lay on their hands the deep condolences for all the atrocities, loss and disasters which so unexpectedly happened to the Japanese people in relation to the earthquake, tsunami, and on the top of that, the Fukushima nuclear power station disaster which is among others the major concern I wanted to touch, to share and to pass a solution for.

    Q: “Can all of us together forestall such events in Japan and, in general, in the world?”

    A: It is rather impossible to forestall such events, in Japan, in general and, in the world. It has to be to understood and realised of one thing that, that Japanese people live on one of the most active tectonic crusts on Earth.
    No wonder things are happening there as they do.

    It is like sitting on a frying pan with the raging lava with a fire underneath.
    No wonder from time to time they get burned or sometime even destroyed.
    In this case nobody can predict of a such activities of the Nature. The only thing humans can do is to learn about its activities, to appoint warning systems, to live with the risk of predictably coming disaster, and when it occurs, to experience the event itself paying for the consequences of living in the area sometime with your own, your relative or your friend’s life, otherwise, move out to another area where that sort of disaster do not happen.

    There is another, much more important aspect of which the humans can recognise and achieve is, to realise and synchronise with the Nature. Respect and appreciation for the mutual coexistence very much in force.
    For the immediate example of, it has to be stressed that the humans and the trees are very much in relation with. They bear the same DNA string. Trees and humans are like brothers.

    “Every plant, every seed, every tree, every fruit, the source of food!!!?!!!, yes! The food for lungs is an air, the fresh air.

    What the humans breath out, the trees breath in;
    What the threes breath out, the humans breath in.
    Humans cannot exist without the trees’ existence. They depend on each other.
    The tree and the man live together in synchronised unity. They all are the part of the self sustained Eco system. They are family.

    1. As already stated above: My deepest personal sorrow expressed to the Japanese nation for all the disasters that which have happened so unpredictably on their land.

    2. A bit of history: I express my full admiration and appreciation for the decision the Japanese have had made in consequence of the disaster which had happened in 1955 when a ferry carrying over one hundred children sank after colliding with another ferry, in the busy shipping lane. One hundred and sixty eight children and adults died in the disaster.

    The Japanese I admire the most, among other nations, for the recognition of the higher purpose and admiration to life by designing, constructing, erecting and building this gigantic bridge ‘Akashi Kaikyo Suspension Bridge’, a very famous bridge that crosses the Akashi Strait connecting Kobe with Lwaya of Awaji Island.

    What a purpose! What a design! What a structure! What an achievement!

    3. Last century, sometime like 50 – 60 years ago some scientists tried to catch an electric lightning up from the sky. They tried to capture and control the Nature.

    After a long long involved work of preparation in designing, constructing and erecting this massive complex of buildings and appropriate installations within, unbelievably, to their surprise, after the first strike of a lightning from the sky, the whole structure collapsed like a proverbial “Box of matches”.

    Since then they never returned to the project.

    With the present advanced hi-technology known to the humans, where the close example of that is this gigantic structure of the Akashi Kaikyo bridge and other designs and inventions made by the Japanese engineers and specialists, in my personal opinion, they, I repeat it once again, only they the Japanese, can do and achieve something like that.

    You can give yourselves a second chance, a second go, to design such a complex but how ambitious project, ‘the Lightning Catcher”, at least take into consideration, discuss with the appropriate authorities and specialists in the field and give yourself a try.

    It seems that sharing this particular idea and project with you without any commitment in return might sound peculiar. My father used to say:
    ‘Unshared knowledge is wasted’.
    So let use this knowledge of the existing project and do not waste it this time!

    Can you imagine? Can anyone imagine!? problem of the free energy solved for everyone and for ever.
    Clean and pure kind of energy straight from heaven. The God’s gift in exchange for ceasing all the wars over this source of energy.

    I bow thrice to the Japanese people, in commemoration, respect, greatness, and leadership as of, the Nation of the XXI-st century.

    Once for Hiroshima
    Once for Nagasaki
    and
    Once for Fukushima.

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
