2 of 77 newly added tunas died in the first 2 days in a Tokyo aquarium

According to Tokyo Sea Life Park, 2 of 77 newly added Pacific bluefin tunas died 2 days after they added to the tank.

In the evening of 6/21/2015, they added the new Pacific bluefin tunas to the tank. These tunas were cultured in Kochi prefecture, 1 year old and 80 – 90 cm long, the average weight was 10 – 13 kg.

However one tuna was found dead in the morning of 6/23, another tuna was also found dead in the afternoon of the day.

The cause of death has not been identified yet.

This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
