I finally got the new passport. I can survive for more 10 years, supposedly.
I was a little paranoia about renewing it thinking about all the things that happened to me, but I’m glad that I took a step forward.
When I left Japan, I only had 3 years validity of passport but it’s not short enough to renew. I was lucky because I had my passport in my hand at least. I got it to have an international English test when I was 20 years old. The test was useless but the ID (=passport) saved my life.
Probably you would think how it can be so difficult just to renew a passport.
I would like you to imagine my situation. It’s not easy even only to answer the question “Where are you from ?”. I must say like this, “I’m Japanese and was born in Yokohama, which is the second biggest Japanese city right next to Tokyo, but living in Romania now and might have passed your country before, anyway, I came here from Istanbul but it was only for transit”. Every single word has the legal meanings, I can’t miss any of them otherwise it may cause me a serious problem.
Thus it’s just a little bit tricky to renew my passport too. First of all, I had to renew my visa. Then I made a new contract of an apartment for the head office of Fukushima Diary corporation, changed the registry of the corporation, updated the bank info accordingly, and renewed my passport, then immediately went back to the immigration office to re-update my visa.
Anyway, I’m glad that I’m finally newly passported. I could have been expelled and forcefully sent back to Japan if I was misunderstood anyhow. It could have blown out my fundamentals.
Because I finished all the legal procedures (I hope), I can officially go to Netherlands for the project that I announced before.
I have no reason to prolong it. Probably I’ll be updating Fukushima Diary from Amsterdam early next week, before / after talking to the immigration officers or lawyers for the project.

J’ai enfin mon nouveau passeport. Je peux survivre 10 ans de plus, soi-disant.
J’ai été un peu parano sur le renouvellement en pensant à tout ce qui m’est arrivé mais je suis content d’avoir fait un pas de plus.
Quand j’ai quitté le Japon j’avais un passeport d’une validité de 3 ans seulement mais ce n’était pas assez réduit pour pouvoir le renouveler. J’ai eu de la chance parce que j’avais au moins un passeport en main. Je l’avais eu pour passer un examen international d’anglais quand j’avais 20 ans. L’examen ne m’a servi à rien mais le papier d’identification (ID, =passeport) m’a sauvé la vie.
Vous allez sans doute vous demander comment il peut être aussi difficile de simplement renouveler un passeport.
Je voudrais que vous imaginiez ma situation. Ce n’est pas facile de répondre même à la question “D’où venez-vous ?”. Je dois répondre quelque chose comme “Je suis un japonais né à Yokohama, la seconde plus grande ville japonaise juste à côté de Tokyo mais je vis en Roumanie à présent et j’ai pu avoir traversé votre pays au paravent, de toute façon, j’arrive ici d’Istanbul mais ce n’était qu’en transit”. Chaque simple mot a une signification légale, je dois me tromper sur aucun sinon je peux avoir des problèmes graves.
Donc, c’est juste un peu compliqué aussi de renouveler mon passeport. D’abord, j’ai du refaire mon visa. Ensuite, j’ai fait un autre bail pour l’appartement du siège de la société Fukushima Diary, modifié le registre des sociétés; mis à jour les informations bancaires en fonction et renouvelé mon passeport, je suis ensuite retourné immédiatement au bureau de l’immigration pour remettre à jour le visa.
Enfin, je suis content de voir mon passeport enfin renouvelé. J’aurais pu être expulsé et renvoyé de force au Japon si j’avais mal été compris de quelque façon que ce soit. Ça aurait pu me faire exploser sur mes principes.
Je vais pouvoir officiellement aux Pays-Bas pour le projet dont j’ai parlé avant puisque j’ai enfin terminé toutes les procédures légales (J’espère),
Je n’ai aucune raison de le prolonger. Je vais sans doute tenir à jour le Fukushima Diary depuis Amsterdam dès le début de la semaine prochaine, avant / après avoir parlé du projet aux agents de l’immigration et aux avocats.
Le minimiser au début et ajouter tranquillement de nouvelles information pour que personne ne le remarque. Tout pour que le troupeau ne s’échappe pas. C’est leur stratégie.
