Tepco president “I didn’t even catch a cold last year thanks to everyone” / “Staying healthy is the most important”

Tepco’s president Hirose talked in the new year briefing of 1/6/2014 that he didn’t even catch a cold last year.

In this statement, he praised Tepco employees. He showed his appreciation to them, and stated that thankfully he didn’t even catch a cold through 2013. He got to confirm staying healthy is the most important thing.

Le 6 janvier 2014 au cours du point presse de nouvel an, M. Hirose, le président de Tepco, a déclaré que l’an dernier il n’avait pas eu le moindre rhume.
Dans ce communiqué, il faisait l’éloge des employés de Tepco. Il leur montrait sa satisfaction et a affirmé que par bonheur il n’avait pas eu le moindre rhume en 2013. Il en est venu à confirmer que la chose la plus importante est de rester en bonne santé.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
