[Possible new leakage] All β nuclide increasing outside of the port / Zero announcement from Tepco

All β nuclide density is increasing near the water outlet outside of Fukushima plant port, according to Tepco.

The data is taken to detect the possible leakage from the water purification system. From the daily report, all β nuclide (including Strontium-90) density has been increasing since 12/11/2013 to suggest the on-going leakage.

However, there is no announcement of any leakage from Tepco yet.

The high level of contamination is estimated to spread in the Pacific. This is near the sampling location where Pu-239/240 was detected from seawater this September.

I reject the international mass media to read this site without taking a contact with me.I know some of the mass media corporations read Fukushima Diary to understand the trend so they know when to report about Fukushima as if they were independently following it for a long time.
In short, they make you individual readers pay for this site while they pay nothing, and when they publish the “authorized news”, you pay for the “secondhand news”, which is nothing new for us.
This site is free for the individual readers, but not for corporations.In the world, this site is nearly the only source about Fukushima. I came here alone without any supporting organizations, background or anything. I’m not pleased to be exploited by the corporations that didn’t even properly report about Fukushima when 311 took place.

I demand them to take a contact with me BEFORE reading this site whatever the purpose is.

Selon Tepco, la radioactivité β augmente près d’un déversoir en dehors du port de la centrale de Fukushima.

Les données ont été prises pour détecter les fuites possibles du système de purification des eaux. Selon leur rapport quotidien, la radioactivité β (dont le strontium 90) augmente depuis le 11 décembre 2013, ce qui laisse penser à une fuite en cours.
Il n’y a cependant pour l’instant aucune annonce de fuite de la part de Tepco.
On peut considérer que la radioactivité extrêmement élevée se répand dans le Pacifique. C’est près de l’endroit où du plutonium 239-240 avait été détecté en mer en septembre dernier. (cf. 0,014 Bq/m³ de plutonium 239/240 en plein océan)

J’interdis à la grande presse internationale de lire et d’utiliser ce site sans préalablement prendre contact avec moi. Je sais que certaines grandes sociétés de presse lisent le Fukushima Diary pour comprendre la tendance et trouver quand rendre compte de la situation de Fukushima comme s’ils la suivaient indépendamment depuis longtemps.
En résumé, ils vous font payer à vous, simples lecteurs, ce qu’ils prennent gratuitement dans ce site et lorsqu’ils publient des “nouvelles de première main” vous payez pour des “nouvelles resucées”, qui n’ont rien de nouveau pour nous.
Ce site est gratuit pour les lecteurs individuels, pas pour les sociétés. Ce site est pratiquement la seule source au monde sur Fukushima. Je viens ici seul sans aucun soutien d’organisation quelconque, ni références, ni rien. Je n’apprécie pas de me faire exploiter par ces sociétés qui n’ont même pas été foutues de relater correctement ce qui se passait à Fukushima quand a eu lieu le mois de mars 2011.

    I am afraid of hypes (just sudden increases that go down in a few days), because they cause unnecessary worries.
    However this is a real trend now that you found.
    I suspect no reporter of any newspapers found that!
    No one asked TEPCO about it.

    1. The cited reference is simply one more ‘Team Nuke’ understatement of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Disaster.

      The simplistic heuristic is essentially: Chernobyl = 1 Reactor, Fukushima = 3 Reactors, therefore: Fukushima ~ 3X Chernobyl:

      It is a STARTING PLACE: I performed that simplistic calculation mentally in midMarch 2011.

      It has been disclosed that the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Reactors: FDU-1, FDU-2 and FDU-3 EACH suffered 100% fuel meltdowns and complete containment failure following a short period of cooldown. Therefore the radionuclide profiles will be somewhat different than the Chernobyl plant which was operating at a substantial TEST overload condition, at the time of explosion.

      I would on that basis, assume that the short duration (seconds-minutes-hours half life) radionuclide fission products might be somewhat greater in Chernobyl. And the Fukushima Cesium-Strontium and other medium duration radionuclides would be greater than Chernobyl.

      The Atomic Explosion in FDU-3 and the fuel condition in SFP-3 are ‘The Great Unknowns’ of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station disaster. Something turned the Northern Hemisphere atmosphere – Burnt Orange – with radioactive Iodine (I-131). The Unit – 3 Explosions are the Prime Suspect(s) in that unprecedented atmospheric phenomena (disaster).

          1. Fallout Precautions:

            I took routine nuclear fallout precautions during the spring of 2011, based upon a personal assessment of the radiological risk, dose and distances involved. Preliminary radiological assumption 3X Chernobyl, and twice as close as Chernobyl, as three (3) reactors were involved.

            This involved changing HEPA filters frequently. Outdoor time was deliberately limited. Simple particulate masks were used for most required outdoor activities to marginally reduce ‘hot particle’ uptake.

            3X dosage of multivitamins were taken from about 03/11/2011 for a few weeks then tapered off to 2X and then 1X over time.

            I went shopping to cache useful items for several Fukushima scenarios, including a SFP-4 catastrophic failure. Stocked up on Pacific Salmon, fresh dairy, canned goods, bottled water, batteries, and frozen food. On my 2nd trip to the grocery store, the shelves were virtually empty, indicating that a LOT of similar STORM preparations, by neighbors.

            Changed clothes at the door and tossed into washing machine immediately.

            Attended ONE (partially) outdoor social function during the Great Radiological Storm of 2011. Voted against it, but went along. Lots of photos, by various party-goers taken and (reasonably) available.

            A modified, moderated ‘Duck & Cover’ methodology.

            1. There are two things that should be considdered:

              1. Get rid of hot particles that have already entered the body

              Here the strongest stuff is EDTA, that’s a chelating agent.
              You can also use Spirulina (it also includes iodine) and Chlorella.

              2. You need the strongest possible antioxidants to reduce the damage in the body.

              Here I would suggest Gluthathione reduced and/or Alfa-Lipon acid.

              But anyway vitamins are good in every case

                You should probably provide some scientific/medical references, with ‘health food’ and/or ‘Pharma’ claims.

                I bulked up on minerals to reduce environmental accumulations. The seawater used at Fukushima had all the trace elements in the human body plus a lot of ‘knock-off’ radioactive isotopes from the neutron flux.

                Simple displacement by bulking up a bit.

                More than just Iodine, Cesium and Strontium in the environment. So a shotgun mineral approach seemed reasonable, under the circumstances. A radiologist agreed in a ‘curbside consult’.

                Lots of interesting research from Chernobyl. Interestingly, booze is a plus.

                  1. I see where you are coming from and why you are doing what you are doing. There is a huge ongoing debate about the evidence and the science throughout the fields of medicine and the dietary supplements industries.

                    There are as many bogus trends in those technical fields as any other of the sciences at present. There are some useful, perhaps essential insights scattered about.

                    So best of luck, picking your way through all these fields of landmines.

                    I hope that we are somehow able to find our way back to science and scientific integrity. At present, it seems that valid, research based science is in need of critical care.

                      Dr. Laibow is not accurate in all things she said, but it is a beginning.

            2. Oh, I forgot two things.

              You also need a lot of potassium (blocks cesium 134/137) and calcium (blocks sr 90). This is the same mechanism like the thing with the iodine tablets.
              Nearly all sorts of vegetable contain a lot of potassium.

            3. You should have bought a detector first, but I guess that a reality check is the last thing you want.

      2. With respect to FDU-3 cesium and strontium radionuclide dispersal:

        The lowest likely (possible) FDU-3 emission, which would require the (unlikely/impossible) assumption that the fuel in SFP-3 remains intact, would then be comparable to the Chernobyl disaster.

        The Burnt Orange atmosphere of the Northern Hemisphere, suggests a less optimistic assumption of the SFP-3 fuel condition.

        So, it is probably realistic and responsible to assume that the Fukushima Daiichi fallout/washout total is one to two Orders of Magnitude greater than the Chernobyl totals. And the Fukushima public health consequences will be even greater, due to the greater nearby population which was exposed.

      3. The Great Radionuclide Storm of 2011

        Burnt Orange Skies, a more particular report:

        The weather over the Texas Nation-State, and beyond, was remarkable in several regards following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster. Texas had been in a moderate to severe drought for several months, which continued for the rest of the year. The Jet Stream made its usual Vernal ascent from Mexico to Canada during the latter half of March, 2011

        There were a series of Fukushima Nuclear Power Station reactor ventings, explosions, containment failures and Spent Fuel Pool fires between March 11, 2011 and March 21, 2011. The Peak Radioactive Fallout level from Fukushima corresponded to the FDU-3 Detonation on or about March 14, 2011 give or take, an International DateLine and wind dispersal.

        The radioactive fallout was propelled from Fukushima, first reaching the USA West Coast, via the Jet Stream, in about 6 days, Elapsed Time. The Great Radionuclide Storm, as predicted, stretched across Texas on Day 7 and Day 8, and the USA East Coast on or about Elapsed Time Day 9 and Day 10. I chatted and emailed with friends, coworkers and family across the USA and beyond, regarding the Great Radionuclide Storm of 2011. There was no shortage of contemporaneous blogging on the subject.

        The weather progressed from clear, blue skies to burnt orange cloudy and then back to clear, blue skies. The clouds were high, and ‘knobby-bottomed’ and distinctly burnt orange in color. The burnt orange tint was present between the clouds as well as in the clouds. Some others used the term ‘ruddy’, magenta, pink and/or red. The tint and brightness varied somewhat over the course of the Great Radionuclide Storm of 2011.

        1. Burnt Orange Cloud Composition during the Great Radionuclide Storm of 2011:

          The high clouds were water vapor and NOT ice crystals.

          There was (virtually, essentially) no rain, lightning or thunder across the Lone Star nation/state before, during and/or after the Fukushima Nuclear Fallout Northern Hemisphere meteorological event. I did study Meteorology as a pilot and formally in college, but this storm was presumably outside the scope of the usual weather patterns and mathematical models.

          Precipitation washes radiation fallout to earth at a much higher rate than the settling out process in dry air. Plus precipitation brings lighter, water soluble radionuclides to earth. Thus, portions of Pacific Islandia, North America, Atlantic Islandia, Europe and Northern Africa that received rain during the Great Radionuclide Storm of 2011 received SUBSTANTIALLY greater nuclear fallout and personal internal radionuclide dosages than drought-stricken regions.

          Radioiodine and radiocesium are adsorbed through the skin and inhaled through the lungs. Various components of the Fukushima Fallout have various transmission, inhalation, ingestion, administration, and retention characteristics which are in the literature.

    1. Sun rise and sun set following earthquakes (and nuclear tests) is common due to high altitude dust. It doesn’t mean shit, but take it as a PROOF of coverups and spacealiens if you must.

        Iodine vapor is purple. It is barely soluble in water, giving a yellow solution.

        1. Fukushima Nuclear Chemistry

          The Nuclear Chemistry of the Fukushima Fallout is MUCH more complicated than that of Chernobyl. The Fukushima Nuclear Reactors were cooled with seawater, while the Chernobyl coolant water was close to distilled in purity.

          So ALL manner of elements and compounds were Neutron irradiated in the Fukushima Nuclear Power Station disaster, particularly in the Atomic Explosion of the FDU-3 reactor.

          The radionuclide profile of the FDU-3 detonation is therefore going to closely resemble a subsea fission explosion. We look forward to a Full Data Release, from the USA, Japan, CTBTO and others. We are not however holding our collective breath.

The sulfur data are unique because of the coexistence as gas and solid and adds previously undescribed insight into sulfur environmental transformational rates.

      The largest CONSUMER energy item is temperature control. This includes Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration/Freezing as well as water circulation for pools and washing purposes.

      AC electrical power is a LOUSY, Inefficient, exorbitantly expensive, dangerous and somewhat unreliable method to achieve these ends. Oh and by the way, Thomas Alva Edison, prolific inventor, 1st Electrical Engineer and founder of General Electric, ENTIRELY agreed with that statement.

      Natural Gas Powered HVAC units, Refrigerators and Freezers is THE WAY TO GO. On site energy conversion is MUCHO MAS MEJOR (better).

      The AC Electrical Grid is inefficient, out of date, inordinately expensive and USELESS in any imaginable disaster scenario.

      1. A small, internal 48VDC power supply, positive ground, alternator-driven, local battery system would provide sufficient power and back-up for fans and control systems, associated with home-based HVAC-R systems.

        This (48VDC, positive ground) also describes the land-line phone system, safely used in homes for over a century.

        A small solar-voltaic array would be sufficient to maintain battery charge, during extended periods of disuse and/or AC electrical grid failure.

        Four (4) deep-cycle marine batteries, can provide a measure of inexpensive backup power. Higher nominal system voltages (72, 120, 240, 480 …) are available, but are more hazardous, expensive, and challenging to maintain.

        1. That would be an awesome first step in eliminating ballasts for lighting, and replacing mercury-containing fluorescent lighting with LED’s.
          Unfortunately, no home is wired to take advantage of DC – the lighting circuits are mixed with those for outlets.

          I do note that part of the inherent safety of telephone wiring is the low current supply available.

          Besides, what good is any technology if we lose our humanity in the process?

    2. Greater than 65% of the AC Electric Grid power is used in AC electrical motors. AC electric motors have wattage losses through heat. They also are poor ‘antennas’ or ‘receivers’ for AC electrical power, which is more particularly described in engineering terminology as ‘Power Factor’.

      In addition, the Starting Requirements for AC electrical motors is on the order of 10X the full load running operational requirement.

      Finally, AC electrical motors disrupt the AC electrical distribution power, when they come on. An AC electrical motor is momentarily a ‘dead short’, when the switch is flipped on. That means that ALL the hardware has to be MASSIVELY oversized, relative to the actual job at hand.

      The AC electrical grid was a marvelous step forward, in the 1880s. It is a mite ‘long of tooth’ for the modern world. It should be de-emphasized in favor of natural gas, on site, direct energy conversion.

    On site propane storage (or LNG storage) provides redundancy, disaster-resistance, cost-hedging, ride-through, peaking-cost-saving, reliability and improved food preservation.

    Japan should join Germany and LEAD the world to a safer, more energy efficient, less-expensive MODERN world. The USA will probably drop the ball.

The typhoons “strongly contribute” to soil dispersal, said Evrard, though it can be months later, after the winter snow melts, that contamination actually passes into rivers. Local populations who escaped the initial fallout two-and-a-half years ago could now find their food or water contaminated by the cesium particles as they penetrate agricultural land and coastal plains, researchers warned. Last year, the radioactive content of Japan’s rivers dropped due to fairly moderate typhoons. But more frequent and fierce storms in 2013 have brought a new flood of cesium particles.

    This is, said Evrard, “proof that the source of the radioactivity has not diminished upstream”. Tsukuba University has completed a number of studies on Fukushima since November 2011.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
