[Photo] Still over 1 μSv/h measured beside a rice field in Tochigi

On 2/7/2016, a Japanese citizen posted on Twitter that over 1 μSv/h is still detected next to a rice field in Tochigi prefecture.

 

According to the post, the measurement was implemented this January. Location was Nasushiobara city Tochigi prefecture.

At 5cm from the ground, the radiation level was 1.13 μSv/h. At 1m, it was 0.41 μSv/h.

Restriction of rice distribution from Tochigi is not imposed.

Le 7 février 2016, un japonais a publié sur Twitter qu’il y a toujours plus de 1 μSv/h à côté d’une rizière de la préfecture de Tochigi.

 

Le relevé date de janvier dernier selon la publication. C’est dans la commune de Nasushiobara de la préfecture de Tochigi.
Le niveau de radioactivité était de 1.13 μSv/h à 5 cm du sol. Il est de 0,41 μSv/h à 1 m.

Il n’y a pas de restriction imposée à la distribution du riz de Tochigi.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
