JP Gov to build “vegetable factory” in restricted residence area of 9km from crippled Fukushima plant

According to Okuma town in Fukushima, they are going to collaborate with private companies to build “vegetable factory”.

The entire town residents are still evacuating out of the town. The factory is planned to produce vegetable and ornamental plants.

It is planned to be built in restricted residence area, where is only in 9km South West of Fukushima plant. The annual dose level is 20mSv – 50mSv but the government of Japan states they have completed decontamination.

It will be designed to be separated from the air outside. The total construction cost is estimated to be 1,200,000,000 JPY. This is not going to be paid for compensation of the local residents.

The vegetable products are planned to be sold at supermarkets. Tepco is also considering to provide to Fukushima workers.

Selon la municipalité d’Okuma de Fukushima, ils vont collaborer avec des sociétés privées pour construire une “usine de légumes”.

La totalité des habitants est toujours évacuée en dehors de la commune. L’usine est prévue produire des légumes et des plantes ornementales.
Il est prévu de la monter dans la zone interdite d’habitation, soit à seulement 9 km au sud-ouest de la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima. La dose annuelle ambiante oscille entre 20 et 50 mSv mais le gouvernement japonais affirme qu’ils en ont fini la décontamination.
Elle est conçue pour être étanche à l’air extérieur. Le coût total de la construction est estimé à 1,2 milliard de yens (1 200 000 000 JPY) qui ne serviront donc pas à indemniser les habitants victimes.
Les légumes produits sont prévus être vendus en supermarché. Tepco envisage aussi d’en donner à manger aux travailleurs de Fukushima.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
