[Video] Tepco welcomed 717 new employees

On 4/1/2015, Tepco held a welcoming ceremony of new employees in 2015.

This year Tepco employed 717 new employees. This is nearly the double of last year, when they restarted employing the new workers after 2 years blank following 311.

 

Approx. half of the new employees are high school graduates.

Current Tepco president, Hirose said Fukushima decommissioning is the chance for Tepco to obtain the international attention.

Le 1er avril 2015, Tepco a tenu une cérémonie de bienvenue pour ses nouveaux employés de 2015.

Cette année, Tepco a embauché 717 nouveaux employés. C’est près du double de l’an dernier, année de reprise des embauches consécutive aux deux années blanches ayant suivi le 11-3.

A peu près la moitié de ces nouveaux sont des bacheliers.
L’actuel président de Tepco, M. Hirose, a déclaré que le démantèlement de Fukushima est la chance de Tepco pour obtenir une attention internationale.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
