Yokohama city gov to ask Tepco for 3 billion yen of compensation for 2012

Yokohama city government is going to ask Tepco for 2.7 billion yen of the compensation for 2012.

It includes the cost of radiation monitoring, chemical material for garbage incineration facility, storage of contaminated incineration ash etc..

On 3/29/2013, They already sent the invoice of 1,374 million yen of compensation. They will ask for the rest of money around this May.

Yokohama city government asked Tepco for 1,320 million yen of compensation in 2011, but Tepco paid only 197 million yen, which is only 15% of the total compensation money.

La municipalité de Yokohama va demander à Tepco 2,7 milliards de yens d’indemnisation pour 2012.

Ceci comprend le coût de la surveillance de la radioactivité, les produits chimiques pour le centre d’incinération des ordures, le stockage des cendres d’incinération contaminées, etc…

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
