The chairman of the Fukushima accident council, “There’s no appropriate solution for reactor4”

On 1/30/2013, the Fukushima accident council was held to evaluate the progress of Tepco’s decommissioning.
Mr. Kurokawa, the chairman of the governmental accident investigation committee commented the SFP of reactor4 is the crisis in front of us. The entire world is concerned about that.

Mr. Kitazawa, the chairman of the council stated it takes a while to remove all the spent fuel from the pool. There is no appropriate solution for that.

Le 30 janvier 2013, le conseil sur l’accident de Fukushima s’est tenu pour évaluer les progrès du démantèlement de Tepco.
M. Kurokawa, président de la commission d’enquête gouvernementale sur l’accident annonce : la crise de la SFP du réacteur 4 est devant nous. Le monde entier est concerné.

M. Kitazawa, président du conseil, affirme que ça prend un moment pour retirer toutes les barres de combustible usagées de la piscine. Il n’y a pas de solution éprouvée pour ça.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
