Oil still leaking from crane vehicle of Fukushima plant, fire department “leakage of dangerous substances”

According to Tepco, they still haven’t stopped the oil leakage yet. It’s still dripping every 10 seconds.

Tomioka fire department judged the incident as “leakage of dangerous substances”.

The press release is below,

This is a follow-up report on the statuses of the oil leakage found at the construction site of the Miscellaneous Solid Waste Volume Reduction Treatment Building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station at around 1:05 PM on July 4.

Around 1:38 PM, a TEPCO employee arrived at the site and the leakage was found to be spreading approx. 2m x approx. 1m x approx. 1m (thickness).

The water is leaking at a pace of 1 drop per approx. 10 seconds, and we have placed a bucket to receive the water droplet.

The incident was judged as “leakage of dangerous substances” by the fire department.

Selon Tepco, ils n’ont toujours pas arrêté la fuite d’huile. Ça goutte toujours toutes les 10 secondes.

Voici un rapport de suivi sur l’état de la fuite d’huile découverte sur le chantier du bâtiment de traitement des déchets solides divers dans la centrale électrique nucléaire de Fukushima Daiichi le 4 juillet vers 13:05.

Vers 13:38, un employé de TEPCO est arrivé sur le site et la fuite a été constatée sur environ 2 x 1 x 1 m (épaisseur).
L’eau fuit à un rythme d’environ une goutte toutes les 10 secondes et nous avons installé un seau pour récupérer l’eau qui fuit.
L’incident a été classé comme “fuite de matières dangereuses” par les pompiers.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
