More than 40,000 Bq/m2 from 82.8% of Nagareyama city in Chiba

Joso co-op in Chiba and Ibaraki published their monitoring data.

From Ibaraki to Chiba, they divided 20 cities and towns into 1km2 areas. They took soil sample from each 1km2 mesh to measure cesium level.

At the moment of 9/24/2012, they measured more than 40,000 Bq/m2 of cesium from 82.8 % of the areas of Nagareyama city in Chiba. This city is known to be a hot spot.

In Matsudo city of Chiba, where is also known to be hot spot, they measured more than 40,000 Bq/m2 of cesium from 73.9% of the areas.

In another hot spot of Chiba, Kashiwa city (North area), they also measured more than 40,000 Bq/m2 of cesium from 74.1 % of the areas.

常総生活協同組合(千葉県、茨城県)が放射能汚染のモニタリング結果を公表しました。
千葉県と茨城県の20の市町村を1km2ずつ網目状(メッシュ)に区切り、各区域の1地点から土壌を採取してセシウムの沈着量を測定しました。
2012年9月24日の時点で、千葉県流山市内の82.8 %の区域からセシウムが40,000 Bq/m2以上の表面密度で検出されました。なお、流山市はホットスポットであることが知られています。
同じくホットスポットとして知られている千葉県松戸市では、市内の73.9%の区域からセシウムが40,000 Bq/m2以上の表面密度で検出されました。
同様に、千葉県柏市でも74.1%の区域からセシウムが40,000 Bq/m2以上の表面密度で検出されました。

Sur Ibaraki et Chiba, ils ont divisé 20 villes et villages en zones de 1 km². Ils ont pris des échantillons de sol dans chaque carré du maillage pour en mesurer le niveau de césium.

Le 24 septembre 2012, ils avaient relevé plus de 40 000 Bq/m² de césium dans 82,8 % des carrés de la commune de Nagareyama, de la préfecture de Chiba. Cette ville est un point chaud connu.

Dans la commune de Matsudo, toujours à Chiba, connue pour être un point chaud elle aussi, ils ont relevé plus de 40 000 Bq/m² de césium dans 73,9 % des carrés.

Dans un autre point chaud de Chiba, la ville de Kashiwa (au Nord), ils ont aussi relevé plus de 40 000 Bq/m² de césium dans 74,1 % des carrés.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
