M5.0 class quakes hit Fukushima offshore twice within 45 mins

Two major quakes occurred Fukushima offshore with only 45 minutes interval.

At 21:45 of 9/24/2014 (JST), M5.0 hit Fukushima offshore. The maximum seismic intensity was 4. At 22:35 (JST), M5.2 hit Fukushima offshore again.

The maximum seismic intensity was 4 as well.

The epicenter of both of the quakes was exactly at lat. 37.5° N. and long. 141.4 E, 50km deep.

Tepco announced no plant abnormality has been reported.

Deux séismes de classe M 5 au large de Fukushima en 3/4 d’heure

 

Deux séismes majeurs se sont produits au large de Fukushima à seulement 50 minutes d’intervalle.

Le 24 septembre 2014 à 21:45 (JST), un M 5,0 a lieu au large de Fukushima. Son intensité sismique maximale a été de 4. Un M 5,2 survient ensuite à 22:35 (JST), toujours au large de Fukushima. Son intensité sismique maximale a également été de 4.
L’épicentre des deux est situé exactement en 37,5°N. et 141,4 E, à 50 km de profondeur.
Tepco a déclaré qu’aucune anomalie n’est rapportée à la centrale.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
