Groundwater reached the ground surface in one more observation hole

Following up this article..Groundwater reached the ground surface → Tepco “We won’t use the boring anymore” [URL]

According to Tepco, groundwater reached the ground surface level in another boring. It was on 9/3/2013. No rainfall was observed.

The boring is the nearest to reactor2 turbine building.

Tepco was commenting the groundwater level can be unstable due to the impervious wall construction. However, the water level in this boring had been stable on 9/3/2013, which contradicts Tepco’s comment.

  1. This is a nightmare I cannot wake up form. The efforts put forth by TEPCO are about as effective as what could have been done with a truck load of Legos. I knew when TEPCO started talking about decomissioning the reactors instead of sealing them up the world was in trouble. The inaction of TEPCO and the government of Japan may be a crime against humanity. The United States is about to strike Syria with cruse missiles over chemecial weapons strikes that killed about 1,400 people. The situation at Fukushima may kill millions. There have been no arrests. Why? What is the defference between killing people slowly with cancers, heart failure, strokes, and lukemia and dropping nerve gas on them?
Thank you for your hard work. I consider you to be a hero of the people of the world.

    1. LoL isn’t it simple… US gov wanna trike Syria for the control of oil in middle east and to secure Israel. wake up there buddy.

    2. or dropping bombs on them, this has nothing to do with nerve gas

      goggle syria doctors without boarders,
      heres their report

received approximately 3,600 patients displaying neurotoxic symptoms in less than three hours on the morning of Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Of those patients, 355 reportedly died.

Other news sources use about the same number

“What is the defference between killing people slowly with cancers, heart failure, strokes, and lukemia and dropping nerve gas on them”
      or
      bombing them

if you add up the deaths from irag, afgan, lybia you will get
      millions

your right, fuku should be the priority, not another war
      but don’t be fooled
“saving people” is not the priority in either case

      1. It might be more accurate to say that Barack Obama, PERSONALLY, wants to attack Syria. Apparently, the phone calls to Congress are running about 498 to 1 AGAINST bombing Syria.

Some civilians, who may, or may not have been, located near a Syria Jihadi group, may have been gassed, by parties unknown. Neither the Syrian Baathists nor the Moslem Brotherhood, are a USA ally. Furthermore neither group is likely to become a USA ally in the next 50 – 100 years. This Assad COULD HAVE BEEN cultivated, but that time is past. Two USA adversaries are fighting each other. Syria is not very important in the grand scheme of things.

The USA does not NEED petroleum from anywhere. The new USA shale oil production has virtually met the total USA needs for the foreseeable future. The USA is already a net exporter of LPG and LNG and will, within one year, be fully self-sufficient in oil.

TEPCO with the complicity of Japan, Barack Obama, Washington Post and the CTBTO ‘gassed’ NE Honshu Island with I-131, Cs-134, Pu-238 … Subsequently, warnings were suppressed, evacuation stymied and anti-radiation medications withheld. I do not personally see, what MORAL ground the USA stands upon in condemning the Syrian Government for SIMILAR actions. War can wait, IMHO!

        Sincerely,

        Bill Duff

        1. The Kenya Native, Barack Obama, has summarily executed, natural-born USA citizens and their children. Drone targets have included magazine publishers, itinerant preachers and a 16 year old boy. Other summary executions and deaths under suspicious circumstances have occurred.

Where is the distinction and/or a difference between the DEMONSTRATED illegitimate governmental summary executions of Barack Obama and the ALLEDGED offenses of Syria?

The USA must have something POSITIVE, to justify projecting its ‘values’ internationally. No such virtues are apparent.

          This ‘Obama War’ can wait.

Wall Street Journal DECLARATIONS By PEGGY NOONAN September 5, 2013, 6:40 p.m. ET — Why America Is Saying ‘No’ –

Syria and Obama: Wrong time, wrong place, wrong plan, wrong man.

A point on how quickly public opinion has jelled. There is something going on here, a new distance between Washington and America that the Syria debate has forced into focus. The Syria debate isn’t, really, a struggle between libertarians and neoconservatives, or left and right, or Democrats and Republicans. That’s not its shape. It looks more like a fight between the country and Washington, between the broad American public and Washington’s central governing assumptions.

In the Syria argument, the moderating influence is the public, which doesn’t seem to have even basic confidence in Washington’s higher wisdom. That would be a comment on more than Iraq. That would be a comment on the past five years, too.

  2. and yes i do need to say more,
    a question
what about a country with a weaponindustry needing two wars anywhere at all on the globe to prevent loss of jobs?

  3. “Thank you for your hard work. I consider you to be a hero of the people of the world.”
^ What Greyhawk said. Mochizuki-san is one of the living heroes of humanity. I bow before you, with many thanks.

  4. There is a direct connection between nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Uranium, enriched uranium (5% for nuclear power, 20-80% for nuclear weapons but the same process of centrifuging), and nuclear power produces tritium and plutonium that go into nuclear weapons. Eisenhower’s “Atoms for Peace” meaning nuclear power is a cover for nuclear weapons. Chemical weapons and nuclear weapons are both unselective, killing and harming all life forms, not just military targets, and lasting a long time. Thus, we need to have a moratorium on uranium mining, its export, and nuclear power to prevent nuclear weapons.

  5. These films appear to clearly show CORIUM has burned and flowed into the ground. Quite a bit of the corium solidified along the way. There appears to be ongoing fissioning and steam emissions. (Possibly radioactive steam)

The fuel in the FDU-1 Spent Fuel Pool appears to have some heavily damaged fuel bundles.

No wonder the South Koreans have detected Xenon. Fission is still going on, by my lights.

    Sincerely,

    Bill Duff

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
